Financial advisers can help with new year’s resolutions

by | Nov 29, 2016 | Blog |

New year’s resolutions. We’ve all made one at one point or another and it’s quite likely we have seen them crash harder than Goose in an F-14A Tomcat.

But don’t be discouraged – a lot of people are in the same boat with only 6% successfully achieving their resolution in any given year – this is out of a staggering 48% of Australians who make one. And our population is currently sitting at 24 million. That’s a lot of goals going unanswered.

Believe or not, as a financial adviser, you can help, because two of the most common resolutions is to save more and get fit and healthy.

And while you can’t do too much about your clients’ fitness level, unless you want to be their running buddy, you can help them with their financial fitness.

There’s only a month until we usher in 2017. Are you ready to get your clients into financial shape? *cue the theme to Rocky*

Not everyone can achieve their goals on their own. Even Rocky needed Mickey Goldmill to hit him with some hard truths. Sometimes you need a coach to get you motivated, to show you where you can do better. That’s where you step in.

What can you do?

We are big believers that the implementation of technology in advisory firms can help the client, and by extension, your practice, because it gives you access to up to date data, makes your practice more efficient and increases client engagement

And, according to industry research, advisory firms that aren’t coming to the fintech table aren’t doing themselves or their clients any favours.

This is supported by the significant growth that one of our clients experienced after embracing technology.

It’s about the client

At the end of the day, improving your client’s financial wellbeing is what it’s all about. We can help you get your clients into financial shape with a number of tools on the myprosperity platform, including reports, practice analytics and data mining.
